Kimberly Benjamin of The Missouri DWI & Criminal Law Center has worked with a number of organizations during her career as a criminal defense lawyer. Through these organizations, she has been able to teach other criminal defense lawyers, share her DWI defense expertise at conferences, and act as a moderator during seminars. Below we highlight some of the organizations that Kimberly has been involved with.

Kimberly Regularly Taught at Conferences Held by the Missouri State Public Defender System (MSPD)

The Missouri Public Defender System provides legal representation to indigent Missourians who are accused or convicted of crimes. The MSPD is a statewide agency composed primarily of three divisions: A Trial Division, Capital Division, and Appellate / Post-Conviction Division. Training is one of the Missouri Public Defender System’s top priorities, as it maintains a tradition of zealous advocacy and provides defense teams to clients in need of public defenders.

Kimberly Teaches for the Missouri Bar Association

The Missouri Bar Association offers a variety of services to its members, the news media, and the citizens of Missouri. It administers Missouri’s minimum continuing legal education requirements and provides continuing legal education publications, to help lawyers stay current and meet those requirements. The Missouri Bar Association also works with the Missouri General Assembly to monitor legislation and works for the passage of legislation that positively affects the administration of justice in Missouri. Furthermore, the Missouri Bar Association works with the media and issues a number of annual publications designed to teach Missourians about the law and their legal system.

The Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College is not just committed to training lawyers, it is committed to creating legal warriors who will fight for justice in courtrooms across the country. Trial Lawyers College faculty members volunteer their time while teaching courses on a variety of legal subjects.

The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 is an invitation-only organization composed of attorneys who demonstrate not only superior legal skills but also superior leadership abilities. The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 provides information, education, and networking opportunities to its members while devoting itself to the preservation of justice.

Kimberly has Served as the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (MACDL) Continuing Legal Education Chair and has Provided Instruction During Their Conferences

The Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers is a statewide organization that assists lawyers with appellate issues and other challenging legal questions, which relate to the practice of criminal defense within the state of Missouri. The Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers also provides educational seminars to its members and lobbies the Missouri Legislature on behalf of the criminally accused.

Kimberly is a Member of the National Advocacy for DUI Defense, LLC (NAFDD)

The National Advocacy for DUI Defense, LLC (NAFDD) exists to recognize the nation’s best private DUI / DWI attorneys. NAFDD identifies the best criminal defense attorneys in each state who have specialized in representing individuals accused of DUI / DWI offenses.
